So technically, Blaise is out the toddler stage and Braxsyn isn’t quite there yet, but some mornings it feels like I’m fighting with my toddler from 2018 with a little baby on my hip. Anyway, I was just thinking of some things that’s made my mornings just a little bit easier as a mom of two, and I wanted to share them. Honestly, it starts the night before.
- Early Bedtime
- Get everyone (including yourself to bed as early as possible)
- When Blaise get his proper amount of rest he wake up with the BESTTTT mood.
- Bedtime for him is anywhere from 7p-8pm
- We use this Melatonin for Blaise to help with sleep. Its pure magic

- Wake up early
- I know it’s exhausting, and I know you’re exhausted. But when I wake up 1 hour early (this power hour doesn’t include the kids wake time)
- During this hour, I can fix breakfast and get myself together.
- Wake them up to kisses and snuggles
- I wake Blaise up with hugs and kisses in the mornings ***when I follow this routine, because if not I’m screaming “we over slept, baby please hurry up”***
- Waking him up and having a few minutes to snuggle and let him stretch makes a HUGE difference in his attitude.
- PREP the night before
- LISTEN, if you don’t believe nothing else I told you, this isssss the one to believe.
- Get the school clothes out & iron them. Have the socks & shoes out as well. Booksacks, School Jackets, GIRL EVERYTHING.
- Know/Plan breakfast– I usually do warm up pancakes or Nutella toast
- If you have to send lunch, pack it now– or know exactly what you need to throw together. This shouldn’t take more than 2 mins.
- If you have a little baby like me– pack the diaper bag, bottles, milk, put ice pack in the freezer
- Even if you feel like you don’t have time to prep the night before, even making a plan in your the night before helps.
- LISTEN, if you don’t believe nothing else I told you, this isssss the one to believe.
- MAKE A PLAN
- I know this sound crazy, but make a plan in your head.
- here’s an example
- When I wake up, I’m going to do my hair, get dressed, and then cook breakfast. I will lay out the breakfast, pack everything in the car, and then wake Blaise up. While I’m waking Blaise, Brax will be in his highchair eating snacks/breakfast. After Blaise eat he will brush his teeth, wash his face, and then get dressed. (It never goes exactly the way I planned, but it makes it less chaotic! If you try it, please let me know.)
